LESSON 2 THEME: Who is the Holy Spirit? 1. It
is difficult for the children to picture or conceptualize the Spirit. So a
connection is made between the Spirit of a person and his action. 2. In
a school there always boys or girls who have a good school or team spirit.
Ask them to point out those children who have a good “spirit”. 3. We
always see certain actions being done by these boys and girls which are very
good and brave and daring. These are the ones who have a good “spirit”. 4. So
too the Spirit of God creates good actions, e.g., the world, the wonderful
things we see all around us. This is how God reveals to us His Holy Spirit. 5. So
also when we see a boy/girl doing good actions or a good deed, we can say it
is the Holy Spirit working in him/her. 6. Get
the children to see the good things they and others do. Now they are going to
receive the Spirit of God in Confirmation to do good things and actions for
Jesus, whose Spirit He is. 7. “By
their fruits you know them.” |
