Baptism is the Sacrament
by which Jesus Christ
makes us Christians.+

at a Baptism?
At a Baptism, the priest+
pours++ water on the person’s
head,
saying+++: “I baptise you
in the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.”
+Or deacon. In
emergencies, a lay person or even
someone not
baptized himself should give Baptism,
as above. The
Christian name of a saint is used to
address the
person being baptized.

word “baptism” mean “wash”.

this Sacrament: a spiritual
