Mt Singai Summit
Mt
Singai is a Holy Mountain, more than 100 years ago,
Catholics of Bau area came to the mountain to worship the Lord. They built a
Chapel on mid hill, now called CHRIST THE KING CHAPEL. Nowadays pilgrims and
faithful come here to increase their faith, to attend Mass (every First Sunday
of the Month there is scheduled Sunday Mass, plus Holy Mass on the Feast of
Christ the King), for retreat, in search of the Truth, the meaning of life, for
exercises,,,, Not many people realize that behind the Chapel, there is a track
leading to the summit of the holy mountain. It takes about 1 ½ to 2 hours one
way depending on the size and fitness of the group. There is only one track.
This is the breathtaking view on the Summit.
Form 4 Youths want to climb too, so we
bring them, this Holiday on the Feast of Joseph the Worker, 1 May 2009.
Allow 2 hours climbing time from Christ
the King Chapel to the summit, one way, altitude about 1800 ft.
