like us except……

The centre
is very different from Cheshire Home. Their centre
is just a recreation centre whereby the members could
have their activities held on the 4th Sunday of the month. The members are very ordinary like us except that
they have their speech and hearing impaired.They look very ordinary from
the outside and most of them are working outside. They meet up once a
month for activities like line dance, social gathering and fellowship.
Mr Ee said he is expecting
about 20 members to be present during the 24 June (2012) weekend. The centre also provides car-wash to the public managed by the
D&D members. On the weekend of our visit, he could ask the members to
present a sign language demonstration.
On
Sunday 24 June 2012, FFC will bring SEC 5 youths and their parents, DMD people
and well-wishers to visit the SSD Centre and 21 poor families.

Where: 3rd Mile
& Batu Kawa area.
What to bring? (most important is to bring a compassionate heart)
For SSD, perhaps a fruit basket
will do.
For SAKURA INDAH, there are many families
with children and infants, we suggest
Food Stuff: Biscuits, Milo, Buns, Bread,
Jam, Eggs, Milk Powder, Instant Mee, Cooking Oil,
Rice, Salt, Sugar, Canned Food … etc
Household Items: Soap, Detergent,
Table Cloth, Curtains, Mirrors, … etc.
Useful Things: Torch and Batteries, Tea Set, Zam Buk, … etc
Clothing: Infant & Children’s Clothing, Tee-Shirts,
Shorts, Pants, Skirts, Singlet, Towels … etc
Gifts For Children: Presents, Toys, Story Books, Exercise Books, Pen, Pencils, Colouring Pencils, Shoes, School Bags … etc
