WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO ASSIST?
15/6/08 Sunday. DAY 3 OF 3
Actually
after I left last night, all the children gave their sharing, and they
couldn’t sleep in the night (more so than Friday Night – Friday night it was
the new environment, and missing their own bed and comfort of home, last
night it was the inner healing, the feeling of relief, of being freed…) I
will let Uncle V or Uncle Harry share with us what happened in the middle of
the night…
Today
after I arrived at 10, I asked some of the children on their experiences last
night, it was very touching and some of them needed follow-up and attention,
we at FFC will try our best to help the children. Even more so I think some
of the problems point in the direction of the parents and family environment
which affect greatly your children’s inner feeling.
Anyway
today the Holy Spirit moved even more people, practically everyone in the
room, apart from the Emmaus Healing team members, who were prayed over rested
in the Spirit.
Pauline
revealed that some of the Materials they used for this LSS were new and never
used before, indicating the Lord has greater plans for this group of pioneer
youth who experienced the first compulsory LSS before the Sacrament of
CONFIRMATION.
I
missed the final skit presentation by the children as I have to leave early.
Perhaps Cecile, John or other Faith Formators present can fill in the lines.
All
in all, we are very happy that the first ever LSS of FFC has been
successfully completed with healing for everybody, for the children as well
as for the faith formators who were involved. I told the children they never
see tears in Uncle Michael’s eyes, today they did.
Some
of the children received gifts from the Holy Spirit, at least one received
the gift of tongues, a great blessing indeed.
History has been made, next year we will have LSS
again.
Next
year the Sacrament of CONFIRMATION will be at Form 4 level.
Our
thanks go to the Emmaus Servant Community (of Blessed Sacrament Church) who
have given us and your children the best.
Thanks
also go to some parents and friends who brought fruits, food, drinks,
presents etc.
Perhaps
the most happy man today at the LSS is Valentine Harry who on his birthday
today agreed to be the God Father of one of the children, who will be
baptized end of this month.
While
being a bachelor, he said he is very blessed, as he has many children, God
Children! What a Father’s Day, for Valentine!!
Happy
Father’s Day to all Fathers.
May
the Holy Spirit move you too.

P.S.
In
case you do not have a bible with you and wondered what are the message Clive
quoted, I append below:
ACTS 11: 14-17
11:14 he has a message for you that will save you and your entire
household".
11:15 I had
scarcely begun to speak when the Holy Spirit came down on them in the same
way as it came on us at the beginning,
11:16 and I remembered that the
Lord had said, "John baptised with water, but you will be baptised with
the Holy Spirit".
11:17 I realised then that God was
giving them the identical thing he gave to us when we believed in the Lord
Jesus Christ; and who was I to stand in God's way?'
MATT 7: 7-12
7:7 'Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and
the door will be opened to you.
7:8 For the one
who asks always receives; the one who searches always finds; the one who
knocks will always have the door opened to him.
7:9 Is there a
man among you who would hand his son a stone when he asked for bread?
7:10 Or would hand him a snake
when he asked for a fish?
7:11 If you, then, who are evil,
know how to give your children what is good, how much more will your Father
in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
7:12 'So always treat others as
you would like them to treat you; that is the meaning of the Law and the
Prophets.
1 JOHN 4: 7-21
4:7 My dear people, let us love one another since love comes from God and
everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God.
4:8 Anyone who
fails to love can never have known God, because God is love.
4:9 God's love
for us was revealed when God sent into the world his only Son so that we
could have life through him;
4:10 this is the love I mean: not
our love for God, but God's love for us when he sent his Son to be the
sacrifice that takes our sins away.
4:11 My dear people, since God
has loved us so much, we too should love one another.
4:12 No one has
ever seen God; but as long as we love one another God will live in us and his
love will be complete in us.
4:13 We can know that we are
living in him and he is living in us because he lets us share his Spirit.
4:14 We ourselves saw and we
testify that the Father sent his Son as saviour of the world.
4:15 If anyone acknowledges that
Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him, and he in God.
4:16 We ourselves have known and
put our faith in God's love towards ourselves. God is love and anyone who
lives in love lives in God, and God lives in him.
4:17 Love will come to its
perfection in us when we can face the day of Judgement without fear; because
even in this world we have become as he is.
4:18 In love there can be no
fear, but fear is driven out by perfect love: because to fear is to expect
punishment, and anyone who is afraid is still imperfect in love.
4:19 We are to love, then,
because he loved us first.
4:20 Anyone who
says, 'I love God', and hates his brother, is a liar, since a man who does
not love the brother that he can see cannot love God, whom he has never seen.
4:21 So this is the commandment
that he has given us, that anyone who loves God must also love his brother.
MATT 18: 21-35
18:21 Then Peter went up to him
and said, 'Lord, how often must I forgive my brother if he wrongs me? As
often as seven times?'
18:22 Jesus answered, 'Not seven,
I tell you, but seventy-seven times.
18:23 'And so the kingdom of
heaven may be compared to a king who decided to settle his accounts with his
servants.
18:24 When the reckoning began,
they brought him a man who owed ten thousand talents;[*c]
18:25 but he had no means of
paying, so his master gave orders that he should be sold, together with his
wife and children and all his possessions, to meet the debt.
18:26 At this, the servant threw
himself down at his master's feet. "Give me time" he said "and
I will pay the whole sum."
18:27 And the servant's master
felt so sorry for him that he let him go and cancelled the debt.
18:28 Now as this servant went
out, he happened to meet a fellow servant who owed him one hundred
denarii;[*d] and he seized him by the throat and began to throttle him.
"Pay what you owe me" he said.
18:29 His fellow servant fell at
his feet and implored him, saying, "Give me time and I will pay
you".
18:30 But the other would not
agree; on the contrary, he had him thrown into prison till he should pay the
debt.
18:31 His fellow servants were
deeply distressed when they saw what had happened, and they went to their
master and reported the whole affair to him.
18:32 Then the master sent for
him. "You wicked servant," he said "I cancelled all that debt
of yours when you appealed to me.
18:33 Were you not bound, then, to
have pity on your fellow servant just as I had pity on you?"
18:34 And in his anger the master
handed him over to the torturers till he should pay all his debt.
18:35 And that is how my heavenly
Father will deal with you unless you each forgive your brother from your
heart.'
