Q.
Doesn’t the Catholic Church sometimes marry divorcees?
That is so, but only if and when there is positive proof that the previous
union was not a valid Christian marriage... a
marriage is valid and Christian when both parties are baptized, are free to
marry and freely enter to marriage according to the requirements of the Church... before the Church can marry a divorcee a priest
specially assigned to this work by the bishop must investigate all the relevant
circumstances of the previous union to make sure that it was not a valid
Christian marriage.
