the 3 poor families residing at Sg Apong Squatter Colony.
Kenda, 34 years old has four children aged 2
(baby Boniface), 10 (Elizbert - Pri 5), 15
(Hilary – Form 4), 18 (Jonathan - school leaver) years old
with two school going children.
Her husband, works as a labourer/carpenter in the construction field. He is paid on a daily basis and earn about
RM700 per month. With a small salary to
feed a family of six, life is very tough.
The family is staying at the squatter area
with no electricity behind the Sg Apong
market close by the river bank. Their
house was built from recycled materials given by the husband’s employer. Kenda could be contacted at 017-802-1512.Martina Epit, 33 years old a housewife is staying
with her family of 3 children aged range 6 (Nicholas – kindy), 11 (Jessica-Pri
5), 12 yrs(Agnes Lily-Fr 1) old at the squatter house with no electricity near
the Sg Apong river close behind the wet market.
Martina is suffering from gallstone problem. One of the stones was lodged in the bile duct
causing her great discomfort and pain.
She has 3 school going children.
Her husband works as a painter and made about RM500+ per month. At the moment, he is out of work as he needs
to recuperate from an eye operation. He will need further operation to his
other eye soon. Martina herself will have a follow up visit with the doctor at
the government clinic for her gallstone problem. At some point, she will need
to go for surgery to remove the gallstone which is causing her much anguish.
Currently, Martina works on weekend at a restaurant
at 3rd mile to put food on the table for the family.
She is one of the food recipients of the mobile soup

going through much hardship and pray that the community could offer them some
kind of help.

for Kenda’s family:

for the baby, food stuff and household items.
