On Saturday 3rd
December 2011 at St Peter’s Parish Hall, DMA met Grandma Cecilia for the first time,
she was crying out loud and sad…
From 8 Dec to 29 Dec 2011, DMA
ran a 3-week Champaign to raise fund to help her…
On Thursday 29 Dec 2011, DMA
met her again…
Divine Mercy, inspiring hope
against all hope.
On Thursday 29th
December 2011,
DMA brought Grandma Cecilia to
meet up with the Social Welfare people, we discovered that she already on the
recipient list of the Welfare Department.
Our efforts to relocate her at
the low-cost KMC Flat looks like difficult.
She already applied for the
Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia RM500, so she should get that.
Our 3-week Champaign raised
RM2,000 for her, we gave her some cash on 29 Dec, at the advice of our
Spiritual Director and at the request of some donors, the remaining will be
banked into her bank account over the next few months.
Then at a local restaurant, I
met Grandma again…

DMA says
Thank You to all who heard
Grandma Cecilia’s cry and offered a helping hand.
Fr Chin says
Noted with thanks for those
donors who has responded generously.
