Every year DMA organizes Work
of Mercy (WOM) visits to some poor and needy families, during Lent and Advent
and other suitable times.

All our previous visits are
recorded on our website, have a look http://www.seraphim.my/divinemercy/neighbour/index-neighbour.htm
In this season of Lent, let us
exercise our faith in action for the poorest of the poor.
Let us convey God’s love to
them through our love and compassion.
“We have a heart for God if we
have a heart for the needy”.
What qualifies us for eternal
life is love.
It is when we love that we show
we know God, for God is love.
When we help those in need, we
find eternal life.
“ For I desire mercy, not sacrifice,
and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings. ” (Hosea 6:6)

A penurious mother needs your help
http://www.seraphim.my/divinemercy/neighbour/index-MarinaJindum.htm
Marina Jindum aged 43, a housewife tends to her four school going
children, 3 boys and one girl and her husband, Francis Mabong
who had stroke since 2009.
The family is staying at
a wooden house built on stilts belonging to Marina’s aunty. Despite the
family’s poverty, the house is kept immaculately clean. Her husband is
unable to talk or move around easily and unable to earn a living for the
family. Marina has sought the help of the government welfare department
who has granted her a monthly allowance of RM400 via bank simpanan
nasional account. The RM400 could hardly
sustain the family with four school going children. The family survives
on handouts from kind neighbours. There are
also days when the children goes without proper meals. They have
no relatives to rely for help.
Marina used to go to the
RC church before the husband had stroke. She used to visit the nuns at
the Carmelite. When she was in dire needs for help, she even turns to the
nuns for help. With no assistance at home, taking care of the children
and her sick husband, her burden became overwhelming and a great burden.
St Vincent de Paul’s
members came to interview the family on 1/3/2014 and they will bring forth her
case at their meeting.
All of her four children
study at SMK/SK Semerah Padi
1. Putra Sanggar, 13 yrs in Form 1.
2. Puteri Selekawati, 12 yrs in Pri 6.
3. Putra Nain, 10 yrs in Pri 4.
