Our Father/ who art in heaven,/ hallowed be Thy Name./ Thy Kingdom come,/ Thy will be done on earth,/ as it is in heaven./ Give us this day our daily bread;/ and forgive us our trespasses/ as we forgive those who trespass against us;/ and lead us not into temptation,/ but deliver us from evil. Amen.

The Hail Mary

Glory Be

(Luke 2:8-20 The shepherds and the angels)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be; world without end. Amen.

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God,/ the Father almighty,/ Creator of heaven and earth./

I believe in Jesus Christ,/ His only Son, our Lord./ He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit/ and born of the Virgin Mary./ He suffered under Pontius Pilate,/ was crucified, died and was buried./ He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again./ He ascended into heaven,/ and is seated at the right hand of the Father./ He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,/ the Holy Catholic Church,/ the communion of the saints,/ the forgiveness of sins,/ the resurrection of the body,/ and the life everlasting.  Amen.

I Confess

(Luke 18:9-14 The Pharisee and the Publican)

I confess to almighty God,/ and to you, my brothers and sisters,/ that I have sinned through my own fault, (strike the breast) in my thoughts and in my words,/ in what I have done,/ and in what I have failed to do;/ and I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin,/ all the angels and saints,/ and you, my brothers and sisters,/ to pray for me to the Lord Our God.

The Gloria

(Luke 2:14)

Glory to God in the highest

and peace to his people on earth.

Lord God, heavenly King,

almighty God and Father,

we worship you, we give you thanks,

we praise you for your glory.

Lord, Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father,

Lord God, Lamb of God,

You take away the sin of the world:

have mercy on us;

You are seated at the right hand of the Father:

Receive our prayer.

For you alone are the Holy One,

You alone are the Lord,

You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ,

with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of

God the Father.

Amen.

Whom God’s love commits me here,

Ever this day (night) be at my side,

To light and guard, to rule and guide.

Hail, Holy Queen

(John 2:1-12 The Marriage feast at Cana)

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, Hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears; turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy towards us: and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
